A lot of talk bout God these days
\non the television
\nand from the groups who want to put prayer
\nin the school and the commandments in the
\ncourthouse.
\nSo much loud talk comin`
\nfrom these well-dressed `profits` in the
\nglamour of their well-endowed sanctuaries
\nand greatly subsidized ministries.
\nI hear what you say, `profit` and
\nyet I can`t seem to take my eyes off the
\naccoutrements of your success
\nthat do so impress me.
\nMy, how God has blessed you!
\nIt`s good of you, dear `profit` to
\nstand up for all that is right and true
\nand to help us know that our once Christian nation
\nis being destroyed by the promiscuity of all the sexual
\nmarketing of Hollywood and the morality of our former
\nPresident.
\nAnd we do know
\nand we do all feel the tug of our culture`s
\ninfatuation with all that is not pure.<\/p>\n
Oh, but there is another kind of lust that
\nhas taken hold not only of our nation`s soul,
\nit has also snared those who pose as
\nproclaimers of God`s truth
\nyet the Truth has escaped these
\nimpressive, well-dressed, well-heeled
\nmanipulators of the pocketbooks and the minds
\nof poor vulnerable souls.
\nPut down that Bible `profit`
\nfor you do not know what it says
\nto our day and time.
\nFor robbery and greed are killing the spirit
\nof God`s children.
\nThe devil of greed has taken hostage the
\nsoul of this nation
\nand not only are you, dear `profit`
\nnot exempt
\nyou are leading the devil`s charge.
\nSo why don`t you talk about this insidious
\ncancer of avarice from your lofty,
\nwell-endowed pulpit of power?
\nIt`s not prudent is it `profit`?
\nSo you can yell all you want about the lewdness of this
\nsick society
\nand you can raise your hands and praise your idolatrous
\nimage of God all you want
\nbut it is all just empty chatter with absolutely no biblical basis.
\nYou are nothing but parodies of truth
\nand if all we knew bout Jesus
\nwas what we saw in the manipulative affectations
\nof your garish shows
\nsome of us could never believe in any so-called savior
\nwho was born in a lowly stable to parents of poverty.<\/p>\n
You wealthy overfed `profits` of a false messiah
\nit is you, most of all
\nwho need to be reached by the very word
